Sandi, I just want to say your an inspiration. I am 3 months away from surgery, and it seems like it will be forever before it gets here. Thank you so much for sharing. I think you add a little more hope than you realize!!

Hi Sandy.
I am so excited by your story, I will be starting my two weeks of liquids on wed.the 6th. of oct . and will have the band put in on the 20th. of oct. I guess I am also scared. I am 63 and I weighed 300 when I saw the doc, for approval . I have managed with great difficulty to loose 8 lbs. I hope the liquids and bars I have to take for two weeks will bring me down some more before surgery.

thank you for your encouragement Terri

p.s. I live in British Columbia Canada, and would love to hear from others in Canada also.

Hello Sandi, This is my first post. I guess it’s time to jump into the pool! I’m not sure about much today- I’m looking for info and buddies in my journey. I’m excited and more than a bit overwhelmed. I have my date to get banded- March 4th. (oh, and I am in B.C. on Vancouver Island,Terri.) I seem to be in a “Limbo place” where I don’t know what to do next. I’m trying to find out about protein shakes. I am a vegetarian, and getting max protein is really important. I’ve never even made a shake! I feel like there is so much to know- Help! Where do I begin? Pamela
